Music tools should have hands, not opinions.
Most "AI music" tools spit out a finished loop, push it at you, and call it a day. They feel less like a collaborator and more like a vending machine. If you don't love what came out, your only move is to roll the dice again.
CarotAi takes the opposite bet. The AI lives inside your project. It writes patterns you can edit. It picks samples you can swap. It nudges the mix and names the moves it made. Everything it does is yours to keep, undo, or yell at.
We're building the DAW we'd want to use after a 12-hour session — one that does the boring parts (renaming, routing, auditioning kicks) and leaves the decisions to you. One that runs in a tab so you can open it on a friend's laptop. One that makes shipping a song feel as fast as a tweet.
The browser is fast enough now. The AI is good enough now. The only thing missing was a tool that took both seriously.
